HIGHLIGHTS
Desirae Ridenour, born in Cowichan Bay, British Columbia, made her elite debut in 2018, placing 17th individually and 4th in the mixed relay at the Commonwealth Games and earned her first elite-level victory at the ASTC Sprint Triathlon Asian Cup in Osaka.
In early 2025, Ridenour became the first Canadian woman in over a decade to win a World Triathlon Cup, taking gold in Napier, New Zealand. She added a silver at a European Premium Cup in Holten and most recently claimed a hometown win at the Americas Triathlon Cup in Montreal. After dealing with injuries and setbacks in previous years, Ridenour’s consistent performances and multiple wins during 2025 firmly reestablish her as a leader in Canadian women’s triathlon and a rising presence on the world circuit.
