Erika Ackerlund is a standout member of the U.S. National Team, known for her grit and "non-traditional" path to the elite level. A former NCAA Varsity National Champion at the University of Montana, she transitioned from a walk-on collegiate club athlete to a consistent front-pack presence.

In 2024 and 2025, Ackerlund solidified her status as a global contender, highlighted by a breakthrough silver medal at the World Triathlon Cup Huatulco and a series of top-10 finishes in Hong Kong, Chengdu, and Tiszaujvaros. Beyond the course, Erika serves as an athlete representative on the USA Triathlon Board of Directors, using her platform to advocate for mental health and athlete rights as she targets the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics.
